Two Surface Space Frame (Rhino Explicit History)

space frame

Ah so, the new version of the Explicit History plug-in for Rhino is out. http://grasshopper.rhino3d.com. It’s going to be a cool new toy to play with :)

This is another way of creating space frames using U/V divisions from two surfaces. Almost the same thing as the previous post. Very simple.

I’m currently in the process of developing a double-curvature spaceframe building, and I have found your scripts to be very helpful, thanks again. In the .wrm file, I see that lines are created connecting the uv points between each surface. This is good, but I need straight lines for the horizontal members on each surface, much like your previous rhino script example, the end result being that all lines (structural members) are the shortest path between each point. What is the Grashopper step required for this?

I’ve been busy working on a few different projects. I’ll try that out once I get some free time.

    hi.
    thanks for this example.

I applied it for many surfaces and it is very cool.
How can I make the created from the grasshopper knοts and the lines tangible?

    thanks again.
